Philip Leone - co-Founder, Chief executive officer, Executive Director
Philip is a serial entrepreneur born in Canada and who has lived internationally for forty years. He started his technology career with Bell Canada and Nortel Networks including residency in 4 countries. Self-employed since 1986, he is the co-founder of several successful, and unsuccessful, start-ups in 5 countries. Philip is passionate about the role of SMEs in innovation and re-balancing the deployment of capital into local enterprises. He sees a seminal role for distributed ledgers in bringing performance to enterprises and government, while protecting the interests of individuals. Philip and Lesley are married and have jointly funded DocuChain.
Lesley Leone - Co-Founder, Executive DIRECTOR
Lesley is English and has lived internationally for ten years. She started her technology career with Nortel Networks focusing on product marketing, channel support and human resource development. She has been self-employed since 1994 and is a co-founder of start-ups in 2 countries.
Derek Jones - Chief operating officer
Derek is a telecommunications professional with 40 years of international experience in Europe, the Middle East and Africa operating at senior management level. He has a proven track record in the successful delivery of complex, R&D led projects working with globally distributed teams on projects with budgets ranging from £25M to £160M. Derek started his own company and spent 12 years working as an independent consultant providing Program/Project Management services for national and international suppliers of ICT solutions in the UK and Europe delivering against strategic and operational objectives. Derek was employed in the early deployment of new market technologies including Voice over IP, Mobile Networks technologies including GSM/GPRS/UMTS, and Operational Support Systems and Service Platforms for Mobile and other National Network deployments.
DR. David Lowe - Chief technology Officer, Executive Director
After a spell as a UK defence scientist, David joined Computer Science at Aston University, to establish the internationally-renowned Neural Computing Research Group where he subsequently jointly also set up the Mathematics Group. He is co-inventor of the Radial Basis Function (RBF) neural network, the Shadow Targets optimisation algorithm, the Neuroscale architecture and the cascading RBF network. After a career in academia he recently left to pursue his curiosity to develop a new approach for fast resilient consensus algorithms and a novel type of machine learning. He is an inventor on a patent for predicting the state of health of seriously ill children in high dependency hospital wards using machine learning.
DR. CHRIS SATCHWELL - Chief science officer
Chris is an internationally-recognized scientist, author, entrepreneur and mathematician. He holds aeronautics engineering and ship-science degrees and worked in the financial markets for many years. Chris was chief scientist for Recognia Inc; which pioneered pattern recognition in financial data and whose systems are used by Fidelity, TD Waterhouse and Bloomberg. He was co-founder of Technical Forecasts Limited along with Prof. David Lowe.
Benjamin Leone - Channel and Licensing Support Manager
Benjamin is a Heriot Watt business graduate. During university gained business development experience working for two European technology companies in automotive controllers and public messaging and data collection systems. Worked sales leads, closed and implemented contracts on a commission basis. Computing skills with strong interest in entrepreneurship and the UK start-up culture. Lived and worked outside of the UK.
HAMPTON DOWLING - Director of LICENSING, AMERICAS
Hampton is a former Commander in the US Navy and aide to a US Vice President, with subsequent experience at program and corporate management levels in defense-services related companies worldwide. He has led Fortune 250 $100M+ commercial programs and 25+ projects worldwide, and advised companies and governments with professional services, technology development and convergence, and smart infrastructure engineering. Hampton is also Editorial Director for TransPorts Magazine (Latin America's largest maritime logistics publication) and serves as Chairman, Committee on International Trade, for the Commonwealth of Virginia.

DR. David Landsman OBE - Non-Executive Director, UK
He is the co-founder of Agora Envisioning, a transformation consultancy, and Director of Beargarden Advisory which focuses on strategy and stakeholder relations. He is a Visiting Fellow of Judge Business School University of Cambridge, a member of the Advisory Board of Strategy International and a Director of the UK-India Business Council. He was formerly Executive Director of Tata Limited, the UK-registered European subsidiary of the Tata Group holding company. Before that, he held a number of senior British diplomatic appointments including the Ambassador to Greece.
RICHARD DESPARD - NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, FRANCE
A project focused Chartered Accountant (FCA) with broad commercial and international experience. He has had hands-on management experience with a multinational music group. Co-founded companies in corporate services and media and has been an investor in technology companies. He has raised money from private investors, institutional investors and from a full public listing in London.
Humbert Vincent Buemi - Non-Executive Director, SWitzerland
Humbert is an entrepreneur, active in multiple fields and industries. After spending 35 years in the banking industry, working for leading Swiss banks in the area of wealth management, he established his own company. He currently acts as exclusive agent/distributor for several Swiss and International companies. Mr. Buemi has also been the Swiss Honorary Consul General to the Kingdom of Bahrain for the past 6 years, working on developing the bilateral relationship between the two countries. He was awarded citizenship to The Kingdom of Bahrain for his services.
Neill Harvey - special advisor - security and government markets
Neill is a sciences and MBA graduate of Heriot Watt University who has lived and worked in the Middle and Far East for over thirty years. A shareholder and director of a number of organisations in these areas since the mid nineties Neill’s focus has been on the introduction and nurturing of innovative new technologies, companies and products to the region. Neill brings an extensive address book plus local knowledge and expertise of start-ups, particularly in the defence and security arenas.
Rajesh Paidighantam - Special advisor - finance and capital markets
Rajesh joined the DocuChain advisory board in June of 2019. Based out of London, Rajesh has been working in the financial services sector for the last 11 years helping corporations think about their capital structure, risk management, working capital and investments. He completed his Masters in Financial Risk from London School of Economics and received his Engineering Degree from Delhi University.
